Description of Services
Designed to diagnose and treat a variety of sleep disorders. The Sleep Lab is a collaborative resource of multi-disciplinary board-certified specialists designed to provide comprehensive patient care in a safe, comfortable environment. Services include:
- Overnight Sleep Study - often called nocturnal polysomnography, involves recording various functions like heart rate, breathing, brain activity and limb movement.
- MSLT (Multiple Sleep Latency Test) - often used to diagnose narcolepsy. Consists of a series of daytime naps that generally follows an overnight sleep study.
- MWT (Maintenance of Wakefulness Test) - measures the ability of the patients to stay awake during the day time.
- CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) and BIPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure) Studies - used to determine the proper masks and settings for equipment that will be used at home.
Additional Information
Rooms are comparable to a comfortable, residential bedroom. Provide rooms provide individual temperature and lighting controls. Bathrooms, showers, hairdryers and a small kitchenette are available.
