Susan Knotts Appointed Clinical Nurse Manager of the Birthing Center

Marietta Memorial Hospital announces Susan Knotts, RN, has been appointed the new Clinical Nurse Manager for The Birthing Center. Knotts is a certified Doula and childbirth educator.

Prior to her appointment, Knotts worked at Selby General Hospital as the nurse manager of the Maternity Care Center. Prior to that, she was a staff nurse at Camden Clark in their Special Delivery Unit. She has also worked in the ICU step down unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

As Clinical Nurse Manager of The Birthing Center of MMH Knotts will oversee the daily operations of the Birthing Center, which includes hiring & education of staff, budget issues, and making sure that nursing practices meet the nationally recognized standards and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations. She will also coordinate programs such as childbirth classes and lactation programs that meet the needs of the patients.
