Memorial Health System’s SportsMed to Hold Concussion Symposium
Memorial Health System’s SportsMed will be sponsoring a concussion symposium featuring guest speaker Kevin M. Guskiewiez, Ph.D., ATC, and founding director of the Matthew Gfeller Sport-Related Traumatic Brain Injury Research Center and the Center for the Study of Retired Athletes at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Media are invited to stop by and interview our speaker or attendees and learn more about how to prevent concussion in sports.
When: Tuesday, July 10; 7:30 - 9 p.m.
Where: Holiday Inn

Who: Athletes, administrators of sports governed bodies, coaches, medical personnel and the media.
What: Free program aimed to educate the community about the effects of concussions suffered during physical activity.
Why: Come and learn more about how to recognize and manage these injuries.
