MMH Blood Bank Celebrates Night of Giving
Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Blood Bank will be holding a special Night of Giving on Tuesday, December 20 from 1 – 8 p.m. in the First Floor Conference Room at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Refreshments and door prizes will be provided.
According to the American Association of Blood Banks, 39,000 units of blood are required to care for patients in our hospitals and emergency treatment facilities every day. Blood donations are necessary to help save lives. During this time of the year, giving the gift of life by donating blood is essential for the health of our community.
Blood donation is a great gift to give those in need during the holidays. Blood donors only need to give a little bit of their time and a pint of their blood to help the patients within the Memorial Health System.
A complete schedule of Blood Mobile locations can be found on the Marietta Memorial Hospital website at www.mmhospital.org. A blood level indicator can be found on the homepage to check our current supply.
The Memorial Health System is a not-for-profit health system governed by a volunteer board of community members that are committed to providing comprehensive services that meet the needs of our region. We are comprised of a network of two hospitals, outpatient service sites, assisted and long-term care facilities and a retirement community. We work in innovative ways to meet the healthcare challenges of today, while preparing for the health needs of our communities in the future.
