MMH Blood Bank Fire Department Challenge Contest Winner Announced
Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Blood Bank would like to congratulate Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) for hosting a recent blood drive and winning the Fire Department Challenge Contest. Several local fire departments, including Devola, Lowell, New Matamoras and Williamstown, sponsored blood drives with MMH in October during Fire Prevention Month and participated in a friendly competition to see which department could collect the most donations.
Joe Fouss, blood mobile site coordinator for Salem Township VFD, coordinated the blood drive and helped promote the event by displaying flyers throughout the community. Congratulations to Salem Township VFD for winning the MMH Blood Bank Fire Department Challenge.
Our Blood Donor Mobile unit has enabled the blood bank to visit more sites throughout our community to ensure much needed blood supplies are available locally. To check out Blood Donor Mobile dates and locations and see our current blood supply needs, please visit our website at www.mmhospital.org.
To schedule the blood bank at your facility, please call (740) 374-1634.
