Durable Medical Equipment Collection Day Receives Over Twenty-five Donated Items
Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Department held a Durable Medical Equipment Collection Day on Saturday, March 26 at MMH’s Strecker Cancer Center Conference Room. There were 29 items donated during the event and will assist patients in the inpatient rehabilitation department, who have limited or no medical insurance, obtain medical equipment that is pertinent to return home.
The following gently used and cleaned durable medical equipment items are most needed:
• Bedside commodes
• Tub/shower benches or chairs
Other equipment that will be accepted:
• Walkers (with or without wheels)
• Sock aids
• Long handled shoehorns
