Cindy Carpenter, MSM, BSN, RN, CPHQ is the Director of  Educational Services and Quality Improvement.  Cindy has the oversight responsibilities for Educational Services and also

coordinates the Quality program for the hospital.
  Sharron Boker, BSN, RN coordinates educational programs at the Selby Campus. Sharron has been at Selby General Hospital for the last 5 years, but is no stranger on the MMH Campus as she teaches in PALS, ACLS and ACLS-EP at that location. Sharron also conducts BLS classes at the Selby Campus.
  Rosanne Brooks is the department assistant and plays a key role in helping the department run smoothly. Rosanne is also a BLS CPR Instructor and teaches most of the CPR classes for the employees at MMH.
   Angie Hammat, BA, is the Librarian in the Learning Resource Center. Anyone who has been in school can tell you Angie is the ‘go-to’ person for those needed and necessary research articles!
  Claire Mendenhall, MSN, MBA-HC, RN coordinates the education for the critical care areas, cath lab, Division B, the Psych unit, HIS, the radiology nurses, stress Lab/ cardiac rehab, utilization management/case management, Strecker Cancer Center, the social workers, counselors and nursing home administrators. She also is the Training Center Coordinator for the American Heart Association courses and is AHA Regional faculty in BLS and ACLS.
   

Amy Palazzo, BSN, RN, joined Staff Development in 2007. Amy coordinates education for IPR, the ED, OR, PACU, the Center for Wound Healing, Diabetes Education, Division G and OB, PT, ST and OT.  Amy is currently pursuing her Master’s in Nursing Administration Degree. She plans to graduate in December of 2010.

 

Amy coordinates the PALS and PEARS courses along with being a CPR instructor.
 

Aimee Phillips, MSRT, (R) (M)(CV)(QM) joined the department in 2007.  Aimee coordinates education for Radiology including Radiologic Technologists in the Catheterization Lab and Strecker Cancer Center.  She is also responsible for the educational needs of Material’s Management, Biomed, Food Services, Cardiopulmonary, Laundry and Housekeeping, Ouptpatient Registration/Business office as well as taking care of hospital-wide mandatory education and working with the MMH supervisor’s group.  She serves on several committees, including Service Recovery and Prevention, Ethics and the MMH Radiology School Advisory Board.

 
   

Marcy Wesel, BSN, RN coordinates the Continuing Medical Education (CME) for MMH and SGH. Marcy has been in the department since 1998.

 

Marcy played a key role in the process of obtaining approval by the Ohio State Medical Continuing Medical Education Committee for CME. The OSUCME committee was so impressed by Marcy’s hard work and diligence that they awarded an unprecedented 4 year accreditation the CME programs.
