Description of Services
Marietta Memorial's Breast Health Services are designed to help patients navigate the system from screening to diagnosis and treatment. You'll receive access to skilled medical experts and support services.
Our Team of medical and surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, social workers, dietitians and navigator work as a team to treat diseases of the breast.
Our Breast Health Services Coordinator will guide you throughout your care. She will:
- Serves as a patient advocate.
- Provide information, education and support for patients and families.
- Coordinate a personalized care plan for those patients with an abnormal mammogram or newly diagnosed breast cancer.
- Facilitate ongoing communication between the patient, the family and members of the health care team.
- Serves as a public advocate for breast cancer screening, education and early detection.
- Educate other health care providers about diseases of the breast, treatment options and the impact of breast diseases on patients and families.
Additional Information
The goal of these services is to provide patients with a streamlined system that takes them from mammogram to diagnosis in an efficient and time sensitive manner and to assist physicians in providing quality care to their patients in a time-intensive manner. These services are being provided at no cost to the patient.
