Description of Services

• Hearing tests for all ages: Tests are done for physicians, schools and industries.
• Hearing aids: We are able to fit any age with conventional and digital hearing aids. We have a wide variety of sizes and brands available.
• Ear plugs and swim plugs: We have custom-fit, noise-reducing ear plugs and swim plugs for all ages.
• Newborn hearing screenings.
• Hearing aid batteries: we offer a variety of hearing aid battery sizes.

Speech Pathology Services

• Speech and language evaluations.
• Stroke/brain injury therapy: evaluations and therapy address certain issues, such as swallowing, word finding, memory skills and speech intelligibility.
• Modifies barium swallow: radiological testing performed to evaluate a patient's ability to swallow different textures of food and liquid.
• Voice disorders: treatment available due to misuse or injury.

Additional Information
The audiologists and speech pathologists in Marietta Memorial Hospital's Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology are nationally certified and state-licensed. They work with physicians as well as other health care professionals as part of patients' overall care.
